Teacher Bios:

Deirdra Rogers loves to share her passion for health and fitness with others, and she has done so for 30 years as a group exercise instructor, personal trainer and club owner. She is IDEA certified to teach group exercise in aerobics, step aerobics, body sculpt and PiYo. Her body sculpt class integrates floor work, mat work, work with resistance bands, medicine balls, physio balls, and other equipment into a class that challenges and produces results.

Pollyanna Bush draws from 30+ years of studies in dance (modern, jazz, ballet, contact improvisation), yoga (Ashtanga, Iyengar, Bikram), Pilates, Tai Chi, Authentic Movement, and various other art forms. She teaches holistically, emphasizing the importance of being aware of, open to, and curious about one's experience in the moment as one explores, strengthens, stretches and balances the body. Pollyanna teaches a wonderful blend of yoga and pilates, to generate inspiration, fun, and great results.

Rose Engeln’s dance background began at the Interlochen Arts Academy, where she won the “gifted youth” award. Thereafter, she was awarded a grant by the National Endowment for the Arts. She studied jazz, tap, and movement at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Upon moving to the Bay Area, Rose began studying ethnic dance, including Congolese, Afro-Cuban, Haitian, and belly dance. She has been teaching various forms of ethnic dance since 2000, paying attention to form and alignment within classes that are fun and make participants forget that they’re exercising.
